A lot of people who land on my website are looking for ways to make more money, but they often get stuck in the same place. They spend hours reading articles, watching videos, and comparing opportunities, yet never get around to taking the first step.
If that sounds familiar, I want to challenge you to use this weekend differently.
You don't need to overhaul your life before Monday. You just need a few actions that move you forward.
1. Turn Things You No Longer Use Into Cash
Most homes contain hundreds of dollars worth of items that have quietly become part of the furniture.
An old phone sitting in a drawer.
A bookshelf filled with books you'll probably never read again.
Exercise equipment gathering dust in the corner.
Tools from a project you finished years ago.
The reason I like this approach is because it creates immediate momentum. You're not learning. You're doing. By Sunday evening, you could have several listings live and potentially your first sale already in motion.
This weekend, challenge yourself to find ten items and list them for sale.
Keep it simple. Take decent photos, write honest descriptions, and price them to sell.

2. Look at Your Everyday Skills Differently
One thing I've noticed is that beginners often underestimate the skills they already have.
The tasks that feel easy to you usually don't feel easy to everyone else.
Maybe you're the person friends ask to help organize information.
Maybe you're naturally good at writing emails.
Maybe you're the person who always catches mistakes before anyone else notices them.
Those abilities have value.
Businesses hire people every day to handle research, customer support, data entry, scheduling, proofreading, content formatting, and dozens of other tasks that don't require years of experience.
Spend a little time this weekend thinking about what people already ask you for help with. The answer often points directly to your first freelance service.
Then create a simple Fiverr profile around that skill and put yourself out there.
3. Learn One Skill That Can Eventually Pay You
If you've got a few hours free on Sunday, invest them in learning something that has a clear path to income.
I'm not talking about spending six months collecting courses.
I mean sitting down and creating something.
Write a sample article.
Design a Canva graphic.
Edit a short video.
Build a simple content calendar.
The goal is to finish with proof of work, because proof builds confidence much faster than theory ever will.
